Teacher Interaction Activities

Tree Planting Day

The teacher will arrange a tree-planting day as per the following activity
to provide an educational and enjoyable experience for children.

Material Required:
• Watering cans

• Pre-dug holes (prepared by adults beforehand)

• Small saplings

Procedure:

1. Story Time : Gather the students and read a story about the
importance of trees. You can even show pictures of different

trees to familiarize them with various types of trees.

2. Planting Time: Guide them, one
by one, to their assigned pre-dug

hole. Carefully demonstrate how
to gently remove the sapling from

its pot and place it in the hole.

Help them hold the sapling straight
while another child adds the soil

back in to fill the hole firmly.

3. Watering the new trees: Show the students how to use the

watering cans to generously water their newly planted trees.

4. Wrap-Up : Gather the students again and discuss the

importance of taking care of their trees by watering them
regularly.

This Tree Planting Day activity will allow the children to contribute

to a greener environment while having a positive learning experience.
